{"title":"EquiBreathe","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eEquiBreathe started as all great ideas do, sitting around at a barrel race.  As everyone knows these ideas rarely ever amount to much but this was a really long barrel race (The Big Bang Barrel Race in this case) and we were there for 5 days.  Barrel racing only takes up an hour, one and half hours tops so we had some spare the time on our hands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSo how did we end up at this barrel race you might ask?  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEquiBreathe is made up of 2 friends, the kind of friends that have always known each other. Our parents are close friends, and our grandparents before them.  We have been barrel racing together since the lead line class.  This was our big trip out together, now living provinces apart; a whole week long barrel racing bonanza and fun.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDay one or two the question gets asked “why do these things have to be so expensive and hard to find?”  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe answer is they don’t, so we whipped our phones out and started the search for medical manufacturing facilities that had the capabilities to produce our custom specified product. By the time the last day of the barrel race was done we had found our manufacturer to start creating our product.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe idea that you could just have your EquiBreathe Patch set up as a subscription was the next idea to be fleshed out.  We all know were going to a certain amount of barrel races a month (as many as possible) why not have them ship automatically to your door every month instead of running around at every barrel race looking for some?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOver the next couple months we played around with different samples.  Making changes to every little detail and design until we knew we had the one.  At the ABRA Finals we got down to the fun parts of product development, we pulled out our laptops in the trailer and started the packaging and pattern designs.  We wanted this product to be more than just a performance aid for your horse; we wanted it to be a great experience using it as well.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRight from the start our focus was making them affordable. Let’s just state the obvious these are a single use product you take off and throw away when your done.  Making them easy to access by coming to your door every month was one of our main goals.  The subscription had to also be easy to manage, so we added the option to pause it, whenever you want.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe wanted them to be fun, with great solid colours but also a bunch of fun prints to add a little jazz to your run.  The packaging had to look great and feel great right from the moment you open it.
